The effect of this is that Ian Blackford never appeared on the same platform with me at any hustings. So much for modern democracy.

Winter 2019 programme:
Professor Stuart Burgess spoke on Creation/Evolution at a public meeting in Culduthel Christian Centre, Culduthel Avenue, Inverness IV2 6AS on Monday 18th November 2019 at 7:30 p.m. He is the Professor of Engineering Design at the University of Bristol. He demonstrated God’s design in the natural world. The meeting was organised by the Inverness branch of the Scottish Reformation Society and publicized by the Inverness branch of the Scottish Christian Party. Update: Professor Burgess has been awarded the prestigious James Clayton Prize 2019 awarded by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. He is an associate CMI speaker.
SCP Inverness Winter programme Tuesdays October-December 2019: the SCP encourages Christians to attend a 5-part Living Christianity Course produced by the Christian Institute at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday 8th and 15th October, 5th and 19th November and 3rd December 2019. Venue: Kingsview Christian Centre, Balnafettack Road, Inverness IV3 8TF. Trainer: Donald C. Macaskill. Each evening is only one hour long including a 15-minute video. You can attend at any stage as the each meeting will have a short resumé.

This lecture focuses on the relevance of Scottish Presbyterian Church History for Family History research.

Against the motion: Dr Mark Elliot, Faculty of Divinity, University of St Andrews, and Dr Donald Boyd of the Scottish Christian Party.

One speaker from the floor said that even if there are holes in the cheese, the cheese still tastes good. This, of course, was an admission that the holes had been exposed.
The debate was chaired by Jessica Siegel, President of the Union Debating Society at the University of St Andrews Students’ Association. She has also chaired the World Students’ Debating championships as well as being a debater herself. She sent me an appreciative email afterwards commenting “I believe that it was also quite persuasive in changing students’ minds.”
