Not at all.
With the increasing number of allegations against Mohamed Al Fayed emerging after his death, some have expressed their annoyance that Fayed has got away from justice, the extent of his misbehaviour coming to light after “the horse has bolted”.
Similar sentiments were expressed when Harold Shipman committed suicide in prison, as if a premature and quick death was better than lanquishing for life in a British prison, as if hurrying into eternity to meet divine justice is a good escape from earthly justice. It is not.
It seems that such people know very little about divine justice.
Fayed and Shipman have not “got away with it”, as some people think Mal 3:15. Fayed’s legacy is trashed, like other celebrities in recent times. However, not only is their legacy trashed for all time to come, but it is also trashed in eternity. Their exposure will last throughout eternity. The Bible puts it like this: “Their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten” Jer 20:11.
To understand what this means, it might help to quote Scripture about the arrival and reception of the wicked in eternity.
“Hell from beneath is moved for thee, to meet thee at thy coming: … All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we are? art thou become like unto us? Thy pomp is brought down to the grave … How art thou fallen from heaven … For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: … I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. … They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; …”
Isaiah 14:9-16.
Instead of the wicked being “good company” in hell, as the wicked in their ignorance joke, they will have a reception party of mockery and ridicule, and they will be “brought down to size” from any high opinion they had of themselves in this world.
The Lord Jesus Christ said the same:
“And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shall be brought down to hell: because if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.”
Matthew’s Gospel, Chapter 11:23-24.
Yes, Jesus thinks that there are things worse than sodomy, and these are not even in the sexual realm.
Justice and the Day of Judgment
Fayed, Shipman and the wicked will spend eternity like this, because nothing will change them in hell.
“Evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”
2 Timothy 3:13.
They had a God-given lifetime in which to seek repentance from Jesus Christ, and now it is past and gone forever Lk 13:24-25.
Their experience will burn like a fire, and it shall not go out. Quoting Jesus again: “in hell, in the fire that shall never be extinguished, where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched” Mark 9:43-44. Their conscience shall continue to gnaw like a worm, and it shall burn like a fire as their wickednessness is exposed and continues unchanged. The despair that makes people commit suicide is illustrative of the despair in hell. It is a life sentence indeed, but called eternal death because it is no life at all – it is “out of the frying pan into the fire” in the most dreadful manner that one can imagine. However, it does not have to be this way for you, dear reader.
People cry out for justice. They would be better crying out for mercy, because justice will come soon enough, and too late for some.
You will not get justice in this world. There is too much corruption for that to happen. However, there will be divine justice in “the world to come” Mat 12:32, Mk 10:30, Lk 18:30, Heb 2:5 and Heb 6:5.
The Day of Judgment shall expose all, for all to see, and it will demonstrate God’s justice in telling the wicked to depart. When God judges mankind there will be no mistakes. There will be no Appeal.
How much better therefore for Jesus Christ to plead your case now, while He can do so and while He offers it?
“If anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous, Who is the propitiation removing God’s anger at our sins when He pleads on our behalf, being the worldwide Advocate Whom God has provided for sinners.”
1Jn 2:1-2.
Come and welcome to Jesus Christ.

22 Jan 2025: periodically one views documentaries about the Nazis which lament those “who got away from justice”. If people understood their Bible better, they would know that however these tyrants may escape punishment from men, yet they will not escape God’s righteous judgment. There is an eternity ahead of them during which these wicked people, having been exposed for what they are will have a conscience burning in them like a fire that will never be extinguished.

5 Mar 2025: Tom Bower’s new book on Fayed [at 19:00 and 19:44 hrs]. The Fall of Fayed follows my example of removing the self-aggrandizing title ‘Al’ from his name. It occurs in the title of this blogpost only for clarification and easy identification. The police, politicians and royalty were corrupted by him [at 19:47 hrs] and used by him to control the Establishment. It demonstrates the corruption in the higher circles of UK society.
