Donald Trump defeats Kamala Harris and Joe Biden

Donald Trump has won the US Presidency for the second time in a historic political comeback unpredicted by many of the mainline pundits and utterly unexpected by the American Democrats.

In his victory speech to supporters in the early hours of the morning he acknowledged that God spared his life to get a job done. May God be thanked. News media have ignored this since he spoke it, and some who did refer to it used it to mock him.

Trump has defeated Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, Barak Obama, the US celebrity band-wagon, the woke Davos-set from the World Economic Forum, the weaponizing of the US justice system and the militant wing of the Democratic Party. He has built a significant team around him, not least with defectors from the Democratic Party.

Oprah Winfrey tried to scare the electorate in her eve-of-poll speech in key-swing-State Pennsylvannia. She told her audience: “If we don’t show up tomorrow, it is entirely possible that we will not have the opportunity to ever cast a ballot again.” By this one sentence she showed herself untrustworthy as a public commentator for the remainder of her time in public affairs, and her credibility as a reasonable political commentator is completely trashed. In spite of this scaremongering, Donald Trump defeated Kamala Harris in Pennsylvannia and Harris got a worse vote than Joe Biden in every State that he won in 2020.

Kamala Harris was a terrible candidate but she was chosen, anointed and crowned without a vote by Nancy Pelosi and Barak Obama. In the 2020 Democratic race she was eliminated at a very early stage of the race and Joe Biden would also have been eliminated but for the support from the Davos-set to get him over the line, a set which hid him from the scrutiny of the electorate during the coronavirus pandemic lockdown.

Some of Harris’ supporters are still singing her praises, along with Joe Biden’s presidency, manifesting that “if the blind lead the blind, they shall both fall into the ditch”, as Jesus said Mat 15:14.

America and the free world has been spared the “leadership” of a woman whose main platform was to promote women’s choice to abort their own children in their womb. Schoolchildren during the biblical Millennium will read their history books with amazement, wondering how almost half of Americans could support such an agenda.

Many observers have commented on the resilience of the 47th president-elect of the USA. It is truly remarkable to behold. The list of experiences he has had in life and in his political career [21:26 hrs] reads like the apostle Paul’s list in 2Cor 11:22-29. I pray that Donald Trump will yet experience what Paul did in meeting the risen Christ.

The opposition to Trump’s first US Presidency began with protests on his first day, conveniently forgotten by his opponents who prefer to highlight the same on Joe Biden’s pathway to the presidency. Thus there has been anxiety whether civil unrest will break out in America. It may do so, but the comprehensive victory has shocked the Democratic camp. For the first time in 20 years Trump has won both the Electoral College votes and the popular vote. He has also gained a majority in the Senate and hopefully the militant Democrats have been shamed into peaceful democracy by his undoubted mandate.

During his previous time in the US Presidential office, Trump never initiated any foreign wars and he implemented the historic Abraham Accords bringing peace, travel and economic opportunities between Israel and its arab neighbours in the Middle East. During Joe Biden’s subsequent administration the US pulled out of Afghanistan in a chaotic withdrawal reminiscent of the US withdrawal from Vietnam. At the time, commentators predicted that this was in preparation for the growing geo-political tensions over Chinese imperial ambitions that had stretched from Hong Kong through Sri Lanka to Africa and the Indian Ocean, and were threatening Taiwan. Instead the 2022 Russo-Ukrainian war erupted when Russia was provoked to attack the Donbas. Trump claimed that this would never have happened if he had been US President. With business interests in Ukraine, Biden helped Ukraine and the west has spent billions in a vain pursuit that has cost millions of lives and which will end in stalemate, which Trump says he will negotiate, much to the concern of the Military Industrial Complex. Then, just as Saudi Arabia was about to engage more fully in the Abraham Accords, Hamas in Gaza put a militant-islamic spanner in the works by invading Israel and provoking more trouble in the Middle East which is spreading more civil unrest in western countries. We need Trump’s input to this international melee.

Identity politics

The role of identity politics has been given a serious shake-up. There are now so many identity groups targetted by politicians and opinion-makers that they have forgotten how to appeal to the masses with a message that embraces them all. They need to learn from Jesus Whose message is global and for all time.

Jesus said to His disciples: “Make disciples of all ethnic groups, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, notice, I am with you always even to the end of the world. Amen.”

Mat 28:19-20.

Updates

7 Nov 2024: already the anti-Trump protests and lamentations have begun. Joe Biden has called it a “set back” for America. The Guardian newspaper has offered counselling to those of its staff who are upset by the Trump victory.

8 Nov 2024: after Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have thankfully dialled down violent reaction in USA in their concession speeches, Europe has been given its own dose of violent riots in Amsterdam last night, described as Jew hunting [20:23 hrs] in Amsterdam [21:38 hrs] but duplicating events in New York, Los Angeles and Canada [21:41 hrs] with calls to globalize the Palestinian intifada described merely as ‘clashes’ by the BBC [22:07 hrs]. The Dutch king said: “our history has taught us how intimidation goes from bad to worse.”

27 Nov 2024: even before he takes office, opposition to Trump has already begun, by the bad-losers who have issued bomb threats against Trump’s nominees. Being unable to frighten Trump, these cowards are targeting others who might be easier to intimidate. Others express their frustration and distress in extraordinary ways [at 23:46 hrs].

16 Dec 2024: Harriet Harman, former long-standing Labour Party MP, has followed Oprah Winfrey’s ridiculous comment by saying that Reform UK “are not just a threat to individual Parties but I actually think that they are a threat to democracy [at 18:51 hrs] because they offering easy answers”! Such language discredits the judgment of those who use it.

13 May 2025: Donald Trump’s state visit to Saudi Arabia promoted “commerce not chaos, technology not terror” for the Middle East. He signed a $142bn arms deal with Saudi Arabia, on the principle that peace requires a strong defence. Elon Musk accompanied him, and Musk’s Starlink satellites will provide free and uncensored internet for the region.

17 May 2025: Donald Trump’s whirlwind tour of the Middle East.

I am amazed at this piece, in which you have appeared to have drunk the cool-aid of a narcissistic, felon, female abuser, that is prone to exaggeration. A real stranger to the truth, who lost most of his respected advisers in his first chaotic term of office, and even made a quick buck from selling copies of The Word of God. Pity he has probably never read it!

It would be wonderful of he could have a Damascus road experience, but “God on his side”, I don’t think so.

The world is in for a rough ride over the next four years, as you will find out from the far shores, across the pond.

“I am amazed” that you should think that I “have drunk the cool-aid” of, presumably, Donald Trump. I had to look up “cool-aid” and discovered that Kool-Aid is a popular American brand. I do not drink Donald Trump’s brand https://donaldboyd.org/2018/02/26/president-trumps-poor-theology-and-use-of-language/

American voters were given two choices and I gave my opinion in these circumstances. Trump may have been a female abuser in the past, but Kamala Harris is and continues to be a male and female abuser, because her main platform was to promote women’s choice to abort their own children in their womb.

I can agree that Trump is “prone to exaggeration”, but many politicians make promises that they cannot keep. I do not drink this cool-aid https://donaldboyd.org/2017/10/26/dr-nicola-sturgeon/

How do we hold politicians to their promises and Manifesto pledges?

“Pity he has probably never read [the Word of God]!” It would be more than a pity if he has never read it, but I am unable to confirm your probability and I doubt it.

At least we are agreed that it “would be wonderful [if] he could have a Damascus road experience”. However, Paul’s experience was unique.

I am not clear why you write “but “God on his side”, I don’t think so.” I never said God was “on his side” but that God spared his life remarkably. Trump acknowledged this, and so do I. God uses unconverted people Isa 44:28, Isa 45:1,4 and extraordinary divine providences do not prove that God is on one’s side. But they do teach that God is speaking to us Lk 13:2-5. https://donaldboyd.org/2022/09/03/how-does-god-speak-to-us/

“The world is in for a rough ride over the next four years, as you will find out from the far shores, across the pond.” True, but not because of Donald Trump but because of the God-provoking behaviour of the nations and their leadership Jer 22:24,28.

Americans were given only two choices. The choice cannot be reduced to character as you have done, strangely ignoring the one policy of Kamala Harris which shows her murderous character as well as other ones.

America and the world needs someone like Trump to cut through the political fiasco, the high-level corruption and war-mongering of the current administration.
