Can Christians change?

It used to be said that people will change their spouse before they will change their bank account. Although this may no longer be true, yet there is an equivalent consideration. Can or do Christians change their political party? Do you know any? If so, are they many?

The rise of ReformUK to overtake the Labour Party in the Polls has shown that the country is ready for political change.

Will Christians decide it is time to change their allegiance and to vote for the Christian Party?

Christians in the Highlands of Scotland have missed the boat several times, in 2006 and recently in 2024.

In the Western Isles at the last election, voters changed massively from SNP to Labour “to get rid of the SNP”. The Christians in the Western Isles could have removed the SNP by voting for the Scottish Christian Party as well as having a Christian Voice in Westminster. Instead voters in the Western Isles opted for a new Labour politician whose early record in Parliament was to vote to stop the winter fuel payments for pensioners, supporting the most unpopular Prime Minister in recent election history, whose approval ratings after only five months in office are at a historic low. Buyers’ remorse is being expressed by pensioners, business men and farmers as the Labour Party decisions begin to bite. What about Christians?

Meanwhile, there is a Christian Party, to which Christians can donate; further they could join the Party and support the Christian Vision.

Update:

6 Dec 2024: no sooner was this posted than I heard that Tim Montgomerie, who left the Tory Party some years ago over its secular policies, has joined the ReformUK Party.

24 Jan 2025: Reform UK has now topped a Poll with 26%.
