January is the door to a New Year.

Jesus is the door to a new life, not just a new year.

Jesus said: “I am the door – by Me if anyone enters in, he shall be saved.”

John 10:9

Jesus makes every day new, with new opportunities –

“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

Lamentations 3:23

New Year resolutions

New Year is a time when many new resolutions are made. Is it not time to acquaint yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ? This is my desire for my readers on this New Year morning.

Many people think, or at least hope, that they will go to heaven at death. But Jesus is the door to heaven.

What makes them think the Doorman will let them in? Do they know the Doorman?

Jesus said: “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man comes to the Father’s house but by Me.” The way to Heaven is a Person – not a religion, a philosophy or ‘living a good life’. That Person is Jesus Christ, Who was answering the question from ‘doubting’ Thomas: “How can we know the way?”

John 14:6.

In one of His parables Jesus warned about the door being shut on those who came too late.

Do you know the Doorman?

If not, how will you learn?

Jesus said: “Learn of Me” Mat 11:29. You can learn about Him in the Bible.

Jesus’ disciples were learners – disciples are students.

Jesus teaches us the Way to heaven and He will be there to meet us. That is why He ascended to heaven instead of remaining on Earth. There are already more people in heaven than on Earth.
