Media reports highlighting the brutality between man and man expose the false doctrine of the innate goodness of man. This false doctrine is serving us ill.
Atheists point out the dangers of false religion, but are dogmatically and existentially unable to distinguish false from true religion. They throw the baby out with the bathwater. This is seen in the secular inability to handle aggressive islam. The secular multifaceted approach is military containment, educational attempts to prevent radicalisation and financial support for secular programmes to sanitise islam by promoting ‘moderate islam’ – all at the tax-payers’ expense.
Violence, abortion and murders have increased ever since ‘the secular sixties’ promoted Roy Jenkins’ ‘permissive society’, and now we have a non-caring society with little Christian care, compassion, conviction, courage nor conscience.
Some people have discovered that this is not simply a battle of ideas but a battle for the hearts of men – which Jesus Christ told us 2000 years ago when He reminded us that the Bible teaches the need for a change of heart both at a personal and societal level.
Mosab Hassan Yousef, the eldest son of one of the founders of Hamas, who converted from Islam to Christianity, is teaching the necessity of Christian love as the method to counteract the ideological hatred and military tensions in the Middle East.
He has discovered and preaches that only Christian love can repulse aggressive muslims and replace their aggression with true love for one’s neighbour.
It is rather similar to homosexual atheist columnist and former Conservative politician Matthew Parris writing a column in The Times newspaper entitled ‘As an atheist, I truly believe Africa needs God’. His thesis was that independent assessment has to admit that Christianity has helped Africans to emerge from their animistic culture into the modern world. He saw Christianity as a stepping stone to western values. Similarly ‘the Son of Hamas’ points out that one needs to fight islamic ideology with ideology, not bullets.
However secularism is not that ideology, with its doctrine of despair, its culture of death and its false religion. Secularism is the religion of atheism. It is just another of the many false religions that man has invented. Atheists need to improve their thinking.
