PDF files are excellent, but do they save paper? How many emails do you receive that ask you to consider whether you need to print it out? Our environmentally conscious age is trying to save paper. PDFs are excellent as one can highlight them, annotate them, remove the annotation, change them, add to them, etc. …
Becoming dependent upon God
Human beings are dependent upon God, whether they like it or not, and slowly the human family is moving in the direction of acknowledging it. The more it speeds up, the better. As society has become more integrated, we have become dependent upon each other. It began in the family and developed with education. Now …
Blaming the devil
The devil is blamed for many things, and justly so. Harvey Weinstein is the latest celebrity to do so. Contradicting allegations of sexual harassments against him, the award-winning film producer Harvey Weinstein said: "I appreciate the way I've behaved with colleagues in the past has caused a lot of pain, and I sincerely apologise for …
The fear of shame is stronger than the fear of death
Shame is the most powerful motivator of human behaviour. There are many examples of the power of shame overcoming the fear of death. Whereas the internet and online shopping is excellent, there is a down side to which retailers and consumers are not giving enough attention. This downside is experienced by many consumers, too many of whom simply accept it and move on. …
America’s next total solar eclipse 2024
8-4-24 (British style) is the date of America's next total solar eclipse. Yesterday's rare American coast-to-coast total solar eclipse was the first total solar eclipse in history to be experienced by so many human beings. Yet a similar event is only seven years away on 8th April 2024. One of my nephew's emigrated to Toronto, …
America’s total solar eclipse today
A total solar eclipse will bisect the USA today for the first time in 99 years. It could be the most viewed total solar eclipse in history. Millions will experience it for the first time, but another solar eclipse will cross America in another direction seven years later on 8th April 2024. The midday Moon, …
